Vector Linux Network Connection

Getting online is one of the first things you'll want to do on your Vector Linux desktop. While your wired connection may be connected automatically, here's some tips and screenshots to make the process a little easier.

Right click on the small network icon on the bottom panel. Select connect from the menu.

With the Wicd Manager open under wired network, select the Connect button.

Here we can see the status bar at the bottom of the Wicd Manager window as it conects to a wired network.

Click on the arrow next to Wired Network to see more details and options. Here you can set this connection as your default, name the profile, and more.



Click on the Preferences button at the top to view the Wicd Preferences. Here you'll find many options to customize under General Settings and External Programs tabs.
