Cisco IOS and Cisco Internetwork The Cisco IOS was created to enable networking applications and network services. In this next chapter we will discus how to connect to a router, basic configuration, and many different commands among other things. Lets get started.

The user interface for a router is very basic. It looks much like a terminal program. A user types commands to control the interface. Everything that we will talk about will be command oriented.
