gOS Filesystem

The Filesystem

Of course the filesystem is the same old filesystem that comes with all Linux distros. If you double click on the Desktop icon it will open into a view of the /home directory for the user, the Desktop and Root which represents the entire file system structure. This illustration shows the three locations that are important to the user, their /home directory, the Desktop of their login and the Root filesystem.

When you select Home Directory you will see any files that you have saved into the Home directory as well as the default folders: Desktop, Documents, Music, Pictures, public, Samples, Templates and Videos.

If you choose Desktop it will show you the icons that are on the Desktop.

In addition, if you select the Root directory you will have access to all of the filesystem.
