I installed Citadel and you are right it is easy to install and very straightforward. Again, you are right that the icons are basic but it works...some of the users I showed it to said they thought it would be ok, so I may try it.

Hey..thanks for the quick response. I will have to install it to see how it looks. Of course installing Dovecot and Squirrelmail is ugly looking as well. How does Citadel compare to Squirrelmail?

I know it is easy to set up as well, but I have people complain about how it looks and also the features are limited.

The Citadel Mail Server has several nice attributes. First, it is easy to install. This is likely the easiest mail server to install with the most features that I have seen.

The only negative that I have seen with administrators that use it is that Citadel use icons that are basic and some admins have even called "childish". If you have mail users coming from Exchange you may have some negative comments from users on looks, but it is simple to use and easy to install.

I am looking at putting a mail server and groupware on my Ubuntu server and I read this article:

http://beginlinux.com/blog/2009/01/citadel-groupware-install/

What I am wondering is how good is mail server and how easy is it to set up.
