I talked with you guys about some info on building an FTP server so I can have anonymous downloads. You said that maybe you would put up some training on this...any progress?
Oh...and what FTP server is secure?

I am building a Mini-Course on setting up the VSFTPD server. You can access the
FTP course here
. It should be complete with quiz by June 4. Let me know if you have questions..

I have tried to use gFTP to access my FTP server when I set up SSL/TLS. However, it will not connect and yet it says that it is compatible with secure FTP. What am I doing wrong?

Note that gFTP will use SSL/TLS but it will not connect up if you have a self-signed certificate. In other words you will need to purchase a certificate from someone like
godaddy.com
, which about the cheapest. See this article about the process.
