"10 Commands You Have to Know" will be held on February 16th. This free Linux training session will not only show you how to use commands with options, but it will also provide you will examples of the 10 most used commands that every Linux user should know. The commands that will be covered in the class are: ls, cd, mkdir, rm, cp, mv, pwd, df, top and ps. Students will receive a PDF detailing the course.

"Understanding the Linux File System" will be taught on February 23rd. This course will explain how the Linux file system is structured and how it compares to Windows. The instructor will demonstrate the advantages of the Linux system. Concepts that will be discussed are path, directory purpose, design, partitions and comparisons to Windows. Students will receive a PDF detailing the course.

"Secure Wordpress with ModSecurity" will be the topics of conversation on March 2nd. This course will help you take the basic steps to set up and secure Wordpress Blogs using ModSecurity. Modsecurity provides an application firewall for your web interface. Students will view a demonstration of installation, how to set up basic rules and modify the rules to work with Wordpress. Students will receive a PDF detailing the course.

"Virtual Hosting with Apache" class will be held on March 16th. Learn how to set up multiple web sites on one web server. This free Linux training session will take you through step-by-step showing how you can set up your own web site. This free server training session will cover name based hosting, ip based hosting, installation of apache, php and mysql.

This Webinar will require Windows or Mac....unfortunately, GoToWebinar does not support Linux clients. Though we have access to Webinar software that does support Linux clients it has other limitations, so currently we will use GoToWebinar for these training sessions. If you would like to ask questions please be sure you have a USB headset attached to your computer.
Linux Clients: If you do not have a Windows or Mac to access to the webinar send an email to mike at beginlinux.com and I will set up a separate webinar for those who only have Linux.
