Hey..I am thinking about putting Ubuntu on a flash drive so that I can carry a live Linux distro wherever I go. I work on servers all the time so I would like to have a way to boot up a server and make repairs if I needed to.
So...how well will this work?

Using Ubuntu on a flash drive should be a slick way to access your servers. I would recommend a 4 GB or better flash drive so you can store data as well.
Another thought, which I have done on Centos servers is installing the kernel for tiny core linux(

). This 10MB distro can then be used to boot your server and fix problems.
