Live Training Network
We are launching a new Linux Training option, live 30 minute classes for all levels of Linux users, Desktop and Server. These live classes include the ability to talk with the instructor , ask questions, view the instructor's screen while in class and interact with other students.
Features of the Live Training Network:
Live Training
You will receive a live feed from the instructor's computer so you are able to watch step-by-step instructions and listen as the instructor describes the steps.
Live Voice
You will be able to speak to the instructor and ask questions as well as listen to class interaction. You do not need to use the phone to be able to hear. You will need a headset so that you can hear and speak with the class.
Certified Instructors
We currently have 3 certified instructors who will teach topics on the Linux Desktop, Linux Server, Web Design and Image Editing.
Availability
Classes are available to fit your schedule. We will provide classes 3-4 days a week and at various times of the day to meet your needs. You will be able to suggest additional times that will fit your schedule.
Unlimited Topics
Students will have access to the all of our systematic Desktop Training, Server Training, Web Design and Image Editing classes as well as have the option to suggest training sessions that they are interested in taking.
Discussion Forum
Students can interact after class in the discussion forum and have continual access to instructors through the forum.
Videos, Quizzes and PDFs
We will supply students with access to new Flash videos with voice each week. This will allow students to review information learned in class or access new content in areas that they are interested in.
System Requirements (Linux, Windows or Mac):
1. Broadband Connection
You will need a cable, DSL or IDSN connection to be able to take a class. Basically anything will work but DialUp.
2. Voice Requirements
We will be using a product which will require you to install an application on your computer in order to speak and hear other class members, This is a simple install and works with Linux, Mac, or Windows. You will need a headset or speakers as well as a microphone. You can pick this up for under $15. A sound card on your computer will be necessary to be able to speak and be heard.
3. Screen Requirements
You will need to make sure your browser has Java installed so you will be able to access the instructor's screen. You will be sent a link and instructions to verify that it is installed properly.
Don't see the training you want? Students may request topics that will meet their needs.
