Saving to a Microsoft word Format Often in order to interface with other offices or friends you will need to save your document in the format they can read with their system. Chose a File Type which corresponds to the document type you need. In this example the file is saved as a Microsoft Word document. The Automatic file name extension will place the proper file extension to be read by the other program.
By changing “File Type” you can determine which type of document you want to save as, Word 97,2000,XP or Word 95 or Word 6. If you will be sharing with those who have Microsoft version be sure to select the correct one. You will get this warning, just Keep Current Format for Microsoft products.
