Formulas - Function Wizard

In this example there are three numbers that need to be used to create a sum. Select the cell that will be used to put the formula in and then select Insert-Function. Then choose SUM as this is the function to use. C19 in the example is the cell the formula will be placed in.

Click next to develop the formula. Enter the three cell locations and you can see the formula develop automatically. Here each cell is listed individually with a ; separating them. A : could be used with only the first and last cells. Click Next.

You can either enter the cell locations in manually or if you click on the Shrink icon you can click on the cell that you would like to place in the formula.

A summary window on the left of the screen shows the structure that is working in the formula. Click OK and your formula is done.
