Based on the Debian GNU/Linux and KNOPPIX operating systems, Symphony OS is a live CD. Symphony OS offers one primary difference from other distributions. The Mezzo desktop environment was designed with an focus on simplicity and usability. Symphony also includes its own Mozilla-driven application environment, called Orchestra. It also supports the Debian package format due to its Debian base.
