Admit it. You've been working hard, and now you deserve the chance to just kick back and relax. Fortunately, Ubuntu gives you the tools to help you with that. Just open the Synaptic Package Manager, and you'll find a wide range of games and multimedia programs at no extra charge.
For games, you can choose from the old standards, like Mahjongg. . .

. . . to elaborate adventure games like "Battle for Wesnoth".
When you feel like trying out some new games, just open the Synaptic Package Manager and browse through the "Games and Amusement" sections.
If you browse to Battle for Wesnoth, you'll see that you have a lot of installation options. You can set it up so that you can play against the computer, or you can set up a server so that you can play against other humans. After you've played through all of the available campaigns, you can use the Wesnoth editor to create your own.
After you open Battle for Wesnoth, you can choose which campaign you'd like to play.
You'll then be taken to the battleground. Be sure to have a quality set of speakers hooked up; the background music is fairly awesome.
