Course Design The Course is designed to take you step-by-step through the installation, setup and customization of the Vector Linux distribution. Vector 6.0 Standard is the edition used in this course with much emphasis on using Vector on older hardware. Much of the Free content on the Internet is disjointed and hard to follow but we offer short courses that are aimed at teaching beginners all the way through their Linux experience. We've also added quizzes to highlight important parts of the course.

Intro
The Standard edition of Vector Linux features the XFCE desktop environment and is fast, stable, and works well on new or old hardware. The lightweight distro takes up only 4 GB of hard drive space but still packs a powerful punch with a sweet desktop and a great set of default applications.
To run Vector Linux 6.0 Standard you're computer will need to meet the following requirements:
- Pentium III
- 128 MB RAM
- Hard Drive 4 GB
- 800x600 pixels, 16 bits color
